En septiembre, Cherry Red lanzará Extended Stimulation: Pop Adventures on the Dancefloor 1983-1988, un nuevo set de 4 CD de varios artistas que incluye mezclas de 12 pulgadas de esos seis años.
Comisariado por el líder de la banda de Dundee Spare Snare, Jan Burnett, este conjunto incluye 43 temas de artistas como Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, Simple Minds, Talk Talk, Re-Flex, Culture Club, a-ha y más.
Entre los temas más destacados se incluyen la mezcla de Latin Rascals del sencillo de Duran de 1986, «Notorious», la mezcla de Ollie North de «The Promise» de When In Rome, la versión extendida de «Getting Away With It» de Electronic y una buena selección de lanzamientos de ZTT al final del CD 4 (Act, Propaganda y el sencillo de Glenn Gregory y Claudia Brücken). También se incluyen algunas mezclas dub de artistas como Belouis Some, Nick Kamen y Jermaine Stewart.
Después de no estar disponible en CD durante casi 40 años, el remix promocional de Phil Harding de «Nobody Knows» de Nik Kershaw hace su segunda aparición en el formato en el espacio de seis meses, habiendo aparecido por primera vez en el box set The MCA Years a fines de febrero.
Los cuatro CD están empaquetados en una caja tipo concha y este conjunto se lanzará el 26 de septiembre de 2025, a través de Cherry Red.
