Leo Sayer presenta una nueva caja recopilatoria de 18 CD, Leothology: The Studio Albums 1973 – Now, que saldrá a la venta en agosto.

La caja recopilatoria incluye casi todos los álbumes de estudio de Sayer (falta el álbum de 2008, Don’t Wait Until Tomorrow, con arreglos orquestales exclusivos de Australia, presumiblemente por cuestiones de derechos) en estuches réplica de mini-vinilos. Los álbumes de estudio incluidos son: Silverbird (1973), Just A Boy (1974), Another Year (1975), Endless Flight (1976), Thunder In My Heart (1977), Leo Sayer (1978), Here (1979), Living In A Fantasy (1980), World Radio (1982), Have You Ever Been In Love (1983), Cool Touch (1990), Voice In My Head (2004), Restless Years (2015), Selfie (2019), Northern Songs (2022) y 1992 (2024).

Leothology añade un álbum en directo inédito, Don’t Wait Until Tomorrow – Live (grabado en Melbourne en 2008, pero que no debe confundirse con el álbum Live in Melbourne de 2006 ), junto con Return To Paradise, una recopilación de rarezas de 14 temas. El set también incluye un libreto de 28 páginas con un prólogo de 3000 palabras y notas detalladas de cada tema de Return To Paradise, escritas por el propio Sayer.

Lamentablemente, Leothology no incluye el set de pistas adicionales de 36 temas en 2 CD que venía en la edición de 2013 de Just A Box: The Complete Studio Recordings (de 14 CD ) (ni tampoco ninguna de las pistas adicionales incluidas en la serie de reediciones de RPM de 2002). Aun así, por aproximadamente 60 libras esterlinas por 18 CD, la relación calidad-precio es suficiente para que incluso los más fanáticos de Sayer se sientan eufóricos.

Leothology saldrá a la venta el 14 de agosto de 2026 a través de Edsel.
