El álbum debut homónimo de Thin Lizzy será reeditado en julio en varios formatos, incluyendo una caja de 3 CD + Blu-ray, una caja de 4 LP de vinilo, variantes de 2 LP y como una edición limitada exclusiva de Blu-ray para SDE.
Publicado originalmente el 30 de abril de 1971, el álbum debut de Thin Lizzy contó con la formación original compuesta por Philip Lynott (bajo y voz), Eric Bell (guitarra) y Brian Downey (batería).
Al álbum le siguió el EP New Day en agosto de 1971, ambos incluidos en la nueva caja recopilatoria junto con temas que no aparecen en los álbumes, tomas descartadas, sesiones de la BBC y nuevas mezclas. Esto incluye una nueva mezcla estéreo de Richard Whittaker tanto del álbum como del EP, Sounds of the Seventies y John Peel Sessions y (en el CD3) tomas descartadas y versiones alternativas.
Al igual que las anteriores cajas recopilatorias de Lizzy, esta se presenta en un paquete de 10 pulgadas con un folleto de 40 páginas que incluye extensas notas de Mark Blake de Mojo.
El set de 4 LP también ofrece una selección de nuevas mezclas, sesiones de la BBC y tomas descartadas, mientras que ambos con ilustraciones exclusivas y dos sets de vinilo de doble LP de colores ofrecen la mezcla original en el LP 1 y la nueva mezcla estéreo de Richard Whittaker en el LP 2.
El Blu-ray exclusivo de SDE es el número 65 de la serie SDE Surround. Ofrece 2026 mezclas del álbum y del EP New Day (+ ‘Beggar’s Song’) en Dolby Atmos, 5.1, estéreo y binaural, tanto en versiones vocales como instrumentales. No hay periodo de preventa para este lanzamiento en Blu-ray de SDE, ya que está limitado a 1000 unidades. Viene en una caja Blu-ray transparente y se envía con una funda protectora coleccionable de la serie SDE Surround.
